JANSPER - Reaction Wheel Controler

JANSPER will be in charge of acquiring telecommunication commands, monitoring the wheel’s sensors, analyzing the data collected and controlling, in consequence, the wheel’s motor.

Main features

Reactions wheels are rotating systems allowing to stock and restitute kinetic energy. In the space domain, they are used to change the orientation of a satellite and allows this satellite to point towards some direction. Reaction wheels are electrically powered thus the onboard fuel amount can be reduced.

EREMS was fully in charge of the developpement, manufacturing and qualification of JANSPER equipment.
